We are partnered with School District 22 and Silver Star Elementary.
Silver Star Elementary enrollment is open to Kindergarten and Grade 1 students. Children relocating from another Montessori program will be considered for late-entry. For other Preschool and Kindergarten options, check out Harwood Montessori and Armstrong Montessori Academy.
The Montessori program is a minimum commitment of 1 year.
For new students, if the number of applicants exceeds the maximum number of seats available, selection will be done by lottery.
Here is what you will need to Enroll in the upcoming school year:
STEP 1: Register with Silver Star Elementary.
You may need to book an appointment. 250-545-4409.
Complete all registration documents required by the office including the Montessori Program of Choice registration form.
Provide:
Child’s birth certificate
Child’s Personal Health Number
Parent’s proof of citizenship (Canadian passport, citizenship card, permanent resident card, work visa, study permit, birth certificate)
Parent’s ID proof of residency (BCDL, BCID, BC Services Card)
Proof of address (utility bill, rental insurance, tax notice, property purchase agreement, bank statement, NOA)
STEP 2: Make a donation to the Vernon Montessori Society.
The Montessori program requires specialized learning tools and administration which are not covered by School District 22. For example, our Waseca systems cost over $4,000 per classroom and are completely covered by parent and community funding. We cannot run this program without the support of our families through donated funds and volunteered time and we are SO grateful for your contributions to keep this beautiful program going!
